Family counseling is a very challenging task. It is more than a job, a nobler profession, a personal ministry of helping communities to empower each and every family, enhancing lives to achieve a sense of wellness and well-being. If we want to change the society we must start within the family as it is the basic unit of a community. Let's empower the families thru counseling!

I'm currently working on my research about Filipino Youth and it is surprising that majority agrees that there should be counselling done by Church for Parents and Child. The truth is, there was no awareness if this service is available or done by our Church. Does anyone have an idea on programs done by Churches for counselling Filipino families?

There are existing counseling services done by churches for families, couples, and even children. Catholic parishes in some parts of the country do offer counseling services. It is even posted in the church premises including its schedule. Evangelical churches do have counseling services, also the United Methodist churches. You might find it useful to go into their websites of different churches or parishes to find the answer to your question.
