Victims and survivors of violence related activities in the community need to be attended by helping professionals- psychologists, counselors, mental health experts, therapists, and social workers by administering Psychological First Aid. This will include their immediate family members as violence creates trauma, feelings of uncertainty, apathy, even hopelessness. Whether this violence is drug-related, kidnapping, killing, etc the use of Psychological First Aid for victims of violence will certainly help the suffering person and his family members to recover and move on. Afterall PFA is not limited to disaster incidents. PFA is an evidence-based approach widely used globally and should be administered to survivors of violence and their immediate families.
